Delivering a co-designed 10-year community vision with Tasmania’s most remote community.

The West Coast features some of Tasmania’s most iconic landscapes, which attract visitors from around the globe. The West Coast is also one of Tasmania’s most remote and resilient regions, home to a community facing several unique regional challenges including a declining and ageing population, limited access to health care and services, and a highly transient workforce.

Era was tasked with facilitating engagement with a community suffering deep-seated engagement fatigue from years of externally driven studies. Era built strong relationships with the client and West Coast community to identify existing challenges and inform a community vision for the region’s future.

Project Highlights

  • Developed a 10-year strategic plan to guide the future of the West Coast region with a focus on people and place.

  • Built a custom website and engagement collateral using the iconic West Coast brand.

  • Worked closely with Council staff as part of a collaborative team.

  • Focused on accessible and practical strategies that put community empowerment at the forefront, allowing West Coasters to carry the Plan forward to 2035.

Let’s build legacy together.
