Planning permit application

A contemporary shopping experience for the growing Kingborough region.

Era is providing planning and bushfire services to assist the proponent with the development of a new supermarket-based shopping centre in Kingston, Tasmania.

The project involves the demolition of existing structures on the site, the construction of two new buildings in their place which will house the new shopping centre, and the subdivision of the site into two lots. The project is now under construction.

After initially progressing the rezoning of the site for a previous owner, Era assisted with obtaining a planning permit and with the condition endorsement process. Era’s planners are also providing ongoing ad hoc planning advice to the client in facilitating changes and amendments to the project as the construction phase continues. The site is also situated in a bushfire prone area and required the preparation of a bushfire assessment report.

Project Highlights

  • Preparation of a supporting planning report for the shopping centre and associated subdivision.

  • Managed approvals process with Kingborough Council and coordinated technical inputs and landowner consents.

  • Preparation of a minor amendment application.

  • Planning support through condition endorsement process.

Let’s build legacy together.
