Devonport Showground has a history spanning over 100 years and has played a central role in community life. With the closure of its facilities and a new owner passionate about delivering outcomes for the community, the site is being progressed as one of the largest infill development projects in Tasmania. It will deliver diverse affordable housing, community facilities and mixed use development.

Working with Studio GL who has delivered the concept master plan, Era progressed a planning scheme amendment to rezone the site to residential purposes with specific provisions tailored to meet the master plan outcomes. The planning scheme amendment was approved in 2023, and Era is now working with the proponent to progress planning permit applications for early works and site activation projects while the detailed design and investment program continues.
