An ambitious project delivered successfully, Bridgewater Bridge has delivered a new four-lane modern crossing of the River Derwent. The bridge has improved connections for the northernmost suburbs of Greater Hobart and improved the efficiency of the primary road corridor between the south and north of the State.

Demonstrating the value of local knowledge and experience, Era worked as part of a collaborative consultant team to deliver the first major project permit for Tasmania, after the introduction of the new approval pathway in 2019. Responsible for environmental chapters of the Major Project Impact Statement, Era also assisted the client with reviews of technical supporting reports in the environmental fields, appearing at Tasmanian Planning Commission hearings and providing advice on potential conditions.
