Era is working with Equis to facilitate approvals for a 224 MW wind farm and associated infrastructure at Bell Bay in northern Tasmania. The wind farm will be connected to the National Energy Market, to harness Tasmania’s natural wind resource and assist in a national transition to renewable energy. It has been identified by the Australian Government as a Renewable Energy Priority project.

Era is providing approvals management support to Equis as well as technical expertise in preparing the Major Project Impact Statement. Our role includes project management of tasks and subconsultant inputs, regulator engagement, EPBC referral, and strategic guidance to Equis in undertaking community engagement and benefits sharing in line with current best practice.

Project Highlights

  • Managing approvals on behalf of the client through the regulatory framework, directing subconsultants and liaising with regulators.

  • Developed stakeholder and community engagement strategy in alignment with the Tasmanian Government’s Renewable Community Engagement, Local Procurement and Benefit Sharing Guidelines.

  • Developed a standalone Tasmanian Aboriginal Engagement Strategy and a community benefit sharing strategy for the project, based on a co-design approach with local community.

Let’s build legacy together.
