Patrick Carroll is a senior planner with significant experience in statutory and strategic projects across Tasmania, gained through a decade in local government in Southern Tasmania, together with his time at Era, after joining the team in 2022. His extensive local government experience is a valuable asset to Era.

Patrick is known for de-risking complex applications through clear advice and collaborative problem-solving. He manages diverse approval projects, bringing up-to-date policy awareness and insight to ensure contemporary advice and direction.

Patrick has experience across projects in the education, utilities, infrastructure and tourism sectors. His thorough understanding of Tasmania’s planning system and his ability to stay current with the latest changes in planning policy and decisions help him proactively identify opportunities and responses, ensuring that projects are delivered with clarity, integrity, and a focus on positive outcomes.

Patrick also has experience appearing before the Tasmanian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and the Tasmanian Planning Commission.

Patrick is motivated by finding pragmatic solutions that benefit the broader community. Collaboration is critical, and he enjoys working alongside councils and clients to reach a win-win outcome.
