Georgina Young

Planner

Georgina Young is one of Era’s planners who works across our diverse planning approval projects and brings extensive experience in local government.

Georgina’s work spans residential extensions, multi-dwelling developments, commercial buildings and subdivisions, and she provides in-house support to planning authorities. After working in tourism, she entered the planning industry and moved into local government, where she worked on planning permit applications ranging from small-scale residential developments to large-scale commercial, industrial and tourism developments, as well as planning scheme amendments. Her work in local government gave her valuable insight and understanding of council planning processes and procedures.

Since joining Era as a planner in 2018, she has focused on statutory planning projects, reflecting her experience and skills from local government, both leading planning approval projects and supporting the team on large-scale approvals.

She also contributes to Era’s in-house assistance support to planning authorities across Tasmania. Georgina enjoys the challenge of working on a large variety of projects and is always focused on obtaining planning approvals for our clients as efficiently as possible.

Georgina is committed to robust planning and loves helping projects big and small get across the line.
